THE IMPORTANCE OF THE 2010 CENSUS

Who gets counted, how you get counted and where do you get counted?  These and many other questions will be answered by Ernesto Calderon; Partnership Specialist, from the US Census Bureau who will give an informative talk on this very important April 1, 2010 event.  Did you know that based on the 2000 Census Queen Anne’s County received $33,011,424 million dollars worth of Federal funding to the; Dept. of Health and Human Services, Dept. of Transportation, Dept. of Agriculture, Dept of Education and the Dept. of Housing and Urban Development!

There are only 10 questions, it only takes 10 minutes and it only happens every 10 years!  In 2000 the response from the state was 69% and the response from Queen Anne’s County was 71%.  Let’s do it again!
